Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City

Published by under Travel on Friday, May 30th, 2008 at 11:53 pm

It was just 3 weeks ago when I was savoring the unequaled moments I had with my friends in Talisay. I’m back again to the perimeters of Taal Volcano. Oh no! But who will say NO when you’re going to stay in the luxurious and very expensive hotel, the Taal Vista Hotel!

All I can say when we were approaching the hotel’s lounge is WOW! I was amazed even more when I saw the backdrop of Lobby lounge and Café on the Ridge. It’s the enthralling view of the Taal volcano and lake. It was breath taking!

Coming there was not for leisure or anything, it was work-related so to say. Haha! I was with the Santa Rosa group for PATAS-BPLS seminar. We have to present to them the current status of the system and the future plans for the project. Luckily, we did a great job! Every effort we did was appreciated… I enjoyed every moment of it. From the glorious food we ate, spectacular scenery, fresh air and comfy room… I can’t ask for anything more!

Today is not my DAY!

Published by under Self-Confessions on Wednesday, May 28th, 2008 at 12:00 am

I woke up 7:01 A.M. I am supposed to get up earlier because I’m bound to Lipa City for Technical Support. I simply hate waking up early! I’m such a nocturnal person. I had a quick shower and wore my clothes for 5 minutes! Wheew!
I left the house at 7:35 A.M. and I have to bear the irritating traffic from F. Reyes St. to Sta. Rosa Comm’l Complex because all the shuttle buses are there. I arrived to Complex 20 minutes after (if there’s no traffic it should only take 5 minutes). I went to the terminal, paid my fare and I was just waiting for shuttle to leave when my phone rang. It was my boss telling me to postpone my Lipa appointment and just go back to Santa Rosa City hall because I’d be coming with the SR Group going to Tagaytay the next day! WTF! Continue Reading »

How to become a web developer or web designer?

Published by under Web Development on Friday, May 23rd, 2008 at 5:16 am

web developmentI’ve been seeing a lot of this question over the online forums. Even me, tried searching the prerequisites of becoming a “webmaster” as others used to call it. But if you’ll really dig down deep, you’ll discover that it’s not really that simple to be regarded as one. It will cost you a lot of blood, sweat, and hardship, which means that you have to include PATIENCE and PERSEVERANCE into your virtue!

First, we have to understand what a web developer means as well as a web designer. Most often, these term are considered the same where in fact they are distinctively different.

A web developer is responsible for programming the functionality of a web site. Usually the web developer figures out how it is going to do it and then writes the necessary programming code. Much of this programming code is behind the scenes and not visible to the user. However, a web developer may also be responsible for the code that the user sees. This is the HTML/DHTML and JavaScript that make up most of the web pages you interact with in your web browser.

Tropical Jungle Resort, Talisay, Batangas

Published by under Featured,Travel on Monday, May 12th, 2008 at 11:17 pm

I had the chance of seeing Lake Taal and the volcano up close when my high school friends and I went to visit our classmate in Talisay, Batangas. We haven’t seen Emelyn for almost 7 years and we really missed her so much. She was married and already had a 4-month-old son named Markus. Her husband is in Canada and she’s currently living with her in-laws while waiting for her own Visa. Her in-laws own a resort just at the back their house which is the Tropical Jungle Resort. It is frequently visited by the local and foreign tourist especially Koreans. You can do a lot of activities there. You can rent a motor boat, go to Taal Volcano and do horse-back riding going to the crater, go swimming in the pool, go fishing and catch fresh Tilapias or just stay in the cottage, take a deep breath and enjoy the beautiful scenery up front. We stayed there for 2 days and I had the chance to unwind for a while. Sometimes, you really need a break when everything in your life seems to fall apart. Lol! Thanks for the good old friends…
